Invention Descriptions: When you use the scan feature, you submit a text description of your invention idea. This text is sent to our AI processing system to generate your analysis report.

Usage Data: We collect standard analytics data including page views, session duration, browser type, device type, and referral source. This is collected via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.

Email Address: If you opt in to receive your report via email or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect and store your email address through our email marketing provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

Invention descriptions are used solely to generate your patent novelty report. They are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored in our database after your session ends. Usage data helps us improve the Service, understand traffic patterns, and optimize user experience. Email addresses are used only to deliver requested reports and marketing communications you have opted into.

3. Data Retention

Invention descriptions are processed ephemerally and are not retained after your analysis is complete. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in accordance with Google Analytics default settings. Email subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Anthropic (Claude AI)— processes invention descriptions to generate analysis reports. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy and data handling practices. Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymized usage data. Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session replays and heatmaps. Vercel — hosts the application and processes server-side API requests.

5. Data Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). API requests containing invention descriptions are processed over encrypted connections to our AI provider. We do not sell, rent, or share your invention descriptions with any third party beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain site functionality and analytics cookies (via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors interact with the Service. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

7. Your Rights
